Cllr Dale Birch - 70@70 Bike Ride

To celebrate his 70th birthday Dale Birch is going to attempt to ride 70 miles on his road bike. As if that wasn’t pressure enough, he will be seeking sponsorship to raise money for Bracknell Conservative Association campaign funds.

dale

3rd October 2020 - Starting at 10am outside Pistachios at Sandhurst Memorial Park

His target is to be riding for at least £10.00 a mile. You can sponsor him at…….

Why not join him! Perhaps not to ride the whole distance but to join him towards the end and pace him home.

Why not make it a social event! Dale will leave from Sandhurst Memorial Park (outside Pistachio’s) at 10am on the 3rd October so you are welcome to see him off. He will stop for about 20 minutes at The Queens Head pub at Bradfield Southend at about 28 miles (or circa 2hrs later) for a refuel. It would be great if people wanted to join him, the pub has a great lunch menu and play area. He will also stop at The Wellington Arms at Stratfield Turgis at around 55 miles (circa 2hrs later) for another refuel and to be joined by anyone wishing to ride¹ the last leg with him. We will all arrive back at the Wellington Arms, Yorktown Road, Sandhurst at about 4pm.

Please note this is not an organised cycle event as such so there are no road martials or direction signs en route and you will ride strictly at your own risk.
