The Government has announced its approval for a new runway at Heathrow Airport – the scheme will now be taken forward for consultation. A new runway at Heathrow will bring economic benefits worth up to £61 billion including the creation of up to 77,000 additional local jobs over the next 14 years

Congratulations to our new Conservative Councillors

We are delighted to announce two new Conservative Councillors for Sandhurst. Gaby Kennedy is now Bracknell Forest Borough Councillor having won 69% of the votes and Sheila Davenport is now Sandhurst Town Councillor with 71.2% of votes. The results were announced at 23.00 yesterday evening.

The Bracknell Show, organised today, 23 July, at Wildridings Recreation Ground by Bracknell Lions Club is a fabulous day out for all the family. Local Conservative Councillors enjoyed the different activities and stalls.

Theresa May has announced more ministerial appointments today, which the Queen is pleased to approve, including the appointment of our local MP, Dr Phillip Lee, as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice.

Local charities benefit from the Bracknell Forest recycling scheme

Volunteer-run Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs will receive £623  thanks to Bracknell’s recycling reward scheme members donating their points to good causes. The charity uses specially trained dogs to help the emergency services find missing vulnerable adults and children.
