“Thanks to all of the marvellous work by the NHS staff and volunteers working on the vaccination programme and the great support of the public for the latest lockdown the numbers in our community are starting to head in the right direction.
The latest figures available for Bracknell showed that in the last 7 days the number of people testing positive had fallen by 29.9% (national average 16.8%) and the patients admitted by Frimley Health also fell by 23% (national average 20.6%. Despite this the number of deaths increased slightly to 4 in the last week by comparison to 2 the previous week. So yet again as a borough we are now seeing numbers fall more quickly that other regions of the UK and hopefully we will soon be able to prevent further deaths.
We have not yet won this latest battle against COVID but we are making good progress.
The members of our council would like to thank everyone for their continued support so that we can eradicate this virus from our region.”
